The first doll museum of Turkey has been opened in an historical old Greek house in little charming town of Mustafapasa (Sinasos) which is 5 km distance to Urgup in Cappadocia. The history of the house dates back to 1860s.It has been renovated by preserving its original architectural characteristics.Today, the house also serves as a boutique hotel with its 5 unique special rooms. It is ideal for travellers of culture with its exceptional atmosphere combining history with culture.
The house is made of special stones which is typical of Cappadocia. That's why all rooms keep cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The house is one of the well-protected stone houses in Sinasos. It has been registered by the ministry of Culture as " cultural heritage property that needs to
be preserved" . The house brings together many different traditional architectural characteristics of the Cappadocia region in its entirety such as stone works, arched rooms, wooden works, tradional old style owen called "tandir" to produce bread, wooden lon "sedir" to rest in the living room. There are also beautiful examples of old fresks on the walls of the rooms. "Star windows" are one of the unique architectural charateristics of the house which has been used to watch stars in the old times.

This historical stone house is also home to original hand-made dolls from Turkey which are made by the owner of the house.
This first private doll museum of Turkey gives the opportunity to meet with uniquely designed dolls of historically well-known personalities in Turkey such as Nasreddin Hodja, Köroglu, Yunus Emre, Mevlevis, Asik Veysel, Ottoman sultans, Köroglu, Dede Korkut as well as doll compositions describing traditional life in the villages, customs, traditions and folklore, sagas, myths and heroes. Shortly, those who have still something to say for today and tomorrow...
There is also a special collection of dolls reflecting the variety and richness of countries of the world such as Peru, Brasil, Mexico, Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, China, Italy, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Iran, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Germany, Greece, Portugal, Spain, France, Sweden, Netherlands, Indonesia, Ghana, Ivory Coast., etc.
